Artist Statement
The goal of my fine art photography is an extension of the focus of my scientific imagery, to see the invisible; more specifically, to visualize time. In some images, film's ability to record the passage of time is used to distill the essence of a scene by allowing transitory events to contrast to the stationary. In others, the subject matter directly refers to time without the need for long exposures to capture it; time remains present but invisible -- such as in everyday life.
